Abstract:

To provide a nuclear reactor coolant pump that can regulate the circulation of high-temperature and high-pressure pressurized water in abnormality.

A nuclear reactor coolant pump includes: a rotary shaft 1 rotating around the axis; a housing surrounding the rotary shaft 1; a leakage prevention seal 30 that is provided so as to axially partition a gap between the rotary shaft 1 and the housing, and regulates the circulation of high-temperature pressurized water from one side to the other side in the axial direction in abnormality. The leakage prevention seal 30 includes: an annular outer seal ring 31 that is arranged on the radial outside of the rotary shaft 1; and a circumferentially-extending inner seal ring 32 that is arranged between the outer seal ring 31 and the rotary shaft 1 while being spaced apart from them. The leakage prevention seal is configured such that the inner seal ring 32 is reduced in diameter while moving to the other side in the axial direction when the high-temperature water reaches there.
