Abstract:
In order to provide a number printing apparatus capable of reducing the amount of generated waste paper as much as possible, the number printing apparatus is provided with: a first number inspection camera (124B) that is arranged downstream, in the rotation direction of an impression drum (112) of a first number printing unit (111), of the opposing/contacting position between the impression drum (112) and a first numbering drum (113), and that captures an image of a first number printed on a paper (W) held by the impression drum (112); a second number inspection camera (124C) that is arranged downstream, in the rotation direction of an impression drum (117) of a second number printing unit (116), of the opposing/contacting position between the impression drum (117) and a second numbering drum (118), and that captures an image of a second number printed on the paper (W) held by the impression drum (117); and a printer control device (10) that controls first and second numbering drum attachment/detachment devices (38, 39) such that the first numbering drum (113) and the second numbering drum (118) move apart on the basis of signals from the first and second number inspection cameras (124B, 124C).
