PURPOSE: To improve operability concerning the control of a feed rate by providing a highest speed clamp means capable of changing the feed rates of all machinery by one operation in a device having a function capable of manually changing various feed rates of numeral control machinery respectively.
CONSTITUTION: This numeral control device is provided with a pretreating means 1 outputting movement data from a work program and a feed rate command. A feed rate command from the pre-treatment means 1, a rapid traverse, a feed rate, and outputs of respective override dials for manual running/dry run also a signal from a highest speed clamp means 3 are inputted in a speed control means 2, and here a signal representing override quantity or the highest speed to be clamped is outputted. Interpolation treatment is applied by an interpolation means 4 according to movement data from the pre-treatment means 1 and a signal from a speed control means 2, and a treatment result is fed to a spindle control means 5 to drive-control the servo motors 6a-6c of respective spindles based on a movement command concerning the respective spindles.
