Abstract:

To achieve highly accurate calculation by using interpolation function in which a coefficient is determined by using proper information in downwind information in addition to upwind information, in a numerical calculation method used for computing partial differential equation.

In the numerical calculation method, the interpolation function of the partial differential equation is a third-order polynomial, and a virtual point is set in the vicinity downstream of a reference point. A value of a variable at the virtual point is used for a restraint condition, to determine the coefficient of the interpolation function. Thus, the degree of the interpolation function is increased as well as non-physical numerical oscillation is reduced with respect to a high wave number, thereby enabling stable and highly accurate calculation.
