To provide a numerically controlled lathe capable of easily performing correction that suppresses the deviation of an indexing angle of a main spindle.
The numerically controlled lathe includes: a first drive transmission element 40 disposed at the main spindle and having a plurality (N1-pieces) of a revolving first unit engagement portions 42; a second drive transmission element 50 disposed at a motor shaft and having a plurality of a revolving second unit engagement portions 52; a third drive transmission element 60 which has M1N1 (wherein M1 is an integer of 1 or larger) pieces of revolving third unit engagement portions 62, is engaged with the first drive transmission element 40 and the second drive transmission element 50, and transmits a drive power of the second drive transmission element 50 to the first drive transmission element 40; an origin recognizing means 72 recognizing a revolving origin of the third drive transmission element 60; and a control means controlling a revolving angle of the main spindle based on the revolving angle of the motor after the revolving origin of the third drive transmission element 60 has been recognized.
