Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a reaction such as amino acid polymerization with the degree of polymerization controlled by controlling polymerization and decomposition in a non-equilibrium open system.
SOLUTION: In a flow reactor for liquid phase polymerization equipped with a high temperature/high pressure part A, a low temperature/high pressure part B and a circulating path C for the parts A, B, a reaction liquid containing an organic compound to be polymerized is ejected from the part A to the part B through the circulating path C, the decomposition of the polymer produced in the part A is controlled in the part B, the polymer is supplied again to the part A through the path C, and the polymerization is promoted by repeated circulation.
