To provide a nursing care bed comfortable for a user to lie on because its surface form is adjustable to his body skin form when lying there, and preventing any bedridden patient with disabled lower half body from the occurrence of bedsore.
The nursing care bed device based on this invention has its bed surface formed with a plurality of rod-like mat members 20, each being circlular or annular in section and arranged in parallel with others in a single layer within a bed frame 10, and all waste water or excretions from the user in bed are discharged through gaps between a rod-like mat member 20 and another adjacent to it. The mat member 20 is characterized by having its surface layer part 21 coming into contact with the user made of a waterproof material that is deformable to the extent that it is depressed by the load of the user's body lying on the bed, and that the rigidity of mat member 20 is designed to the extent that the bed user can substantially feel no deflection of the mat surface layer by the load of his body lying there.
