Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nutrient-replenishing composition having promotive effect of increasing bone matrix, thus excellent in preventing osteoporosis or preventing aggravation thereof and useful for the aged, etc., blended with calcium and milk-derived basic peptides.
SOLUTION: This nutrient-replenishing composition contains (A) 0.1-10wt.% calcium of seaweed or oystershell origin and (B) milk-derived basic peptide as a basic peptide fraction 2000-20000 in molecular weight which is obtained by bringing a milk or milk-derived stock into contact with a cation exchange resin to adsorb basic proteins to the resin followed by eluting the proteins with an elute 0.1-1.0M in salt concentration to obtain a basic protein fraction which is then decomposed by a protease such as pepsin. It is preferable that the weight ratio B/A is 0.1-10.
