PURPOSE: A gruel made from unpolished or polished rice, a large amount of water and a small amount of salt is charged together with one pickled ume (apricot) into a vessel to produce said nutritious gruel suitably used as meal for sick persons or breakfast for normal persons because it is easy-to-handle, keeps good taste and can be stored stably for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: To 33cc of unpolished or polished rice are added water in an amount of 10W15 times that of the rice and 0.1g of salt and they are boiled to make a gruel. Then, the gruel is poured into a vessel like milk bottle by a volume of about 1/10 the capacity and a pickled ume (apricot) is placed in the bottle. The vessel is filled with the gruel, sealed with a stopper, thus giving said nutritious gruel.
