Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new compd. useful as lipid-controlling agent for suppression of cholesterol biosynthesis.
CONSTITUTION: This compound is the compd. represented by formula I (where R is H or the compd. represented by formula II). The compd. is obtained by cultivating Streptoverticillium sp. DSM5988 or Streptomyces sp. DSM5990 on culture medium contg. 0.1 to 10 ml aq. soln. of micronutrient which contains 0.2-5% oat, preferably roll-treated, 0.1-10% calcium chlorides, 0.01-5% iron (III) citrate, 0.01-0.1% manganese sulfate, 0.001-0.5% zinc chlorides, 0.0001-0.1% cupper sulfate, 0.001-0.5% sodium tetraborate, 0.0001-0.001% cobalt chlorides and 0.0001-0.01% sodium molybdate.
