Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detecting device capable of detecting a person with high accuracy by simple processing.SOLUTION: It is generally assumed that in the vicinity of a stopping vehicle an occupant getting on/off the vehicle exists, and an occupant gets off a vehicle decelerating to stop or a vehicle traveling at a low speed after being stopped. When a stopping vehicle is included in image data imaged by a camera 11, an object detecting device uses such assumptions to detect a person with high accuracy without performing pattern matching of a complicated shape having a high processing load, or the like, by increasing a person probability indicating a probability in which an object being in a predetermined distance from the stopping vehicle and being detected on a travel lane side of one's own vehicle is a person.
