Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a transfer network while preventing radiation pollution by discharging a radiation transfer container clogging in a transfer pipe to a scrapping device after sucking it into a metal-clad container.
SOLUTION: In the case where a radiation sample transferring container 32 is clogging in a part 19, the part 19 in the failure position is removed from an upstream part 19 and connected to a flexible pipe 12. A bellows-shaped extensible joint 22 is arranged in the specified position, and a protective bag 33 is attached to the free end of the upstream part 19. Next, the transfer container 32 is sucked by the operation of a blower 5. This transfer container 32 is stopped on the bottom of a cavity 10 of a metal-clad container 8. Continuity of an air pressure transfer network 30 is restored. Radiation rays emitted from the transfer container 2 is absorbed by the metal-clad container 8. Next, the flexible pipe 12 is connected to a scrapping device. When the blower 5 is operated in the opposite direction, the transfer container 32 is discharged from the cavity 10 and housed in the scrapping device.
