Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the main body of an observation device from being unenabled to be taken out in the case of a low temperature liquified gas tank and the like, by driving an equipment body, having a photographing means of the main body of the observation device which can be lifted and lowered, around a vertical axis and also around a horizontal axis through an electromagnetic clutch. CONSTITUTION:When observation of the inner part of a tank is needed, the main body 3 of an observation device is lowered along the inside of cylinder 2 after specified the gas purge in order to support an equipment body 6 by a supporting stand 24 so that an equipment body 8, having a photographing device 10 and a lighting device 9, is projected downward. Then, the photographing device 10 is swung together with the equipment body 8 around an axis (l) by a motor 20 and around a horizontal axis (m) by a motor 22 through an electromagnetic clutch 31 for observing the whole area of the inner part of a tank. And, after finishing observation, the electromagnetic clutch 31 is turned off for automatic return of the equipment body 8 to the vertical position due to the weight balance, so that the main body 3 of an observation device is pulled up into the cylinder 2 to be stored. In this way, in case of failure of in mechanism to swing an equipment body around a horizontal axis such as a driving means etc. the main body of an observation device can be pulled up by electromagnetic clutch-off.
