PURPOSE: To prevent partial oppression of body or travel while choking seatbelt by arranging a pressure sensitive obstacle sensor at the catching section of car door thereby limiting closure of door.

CONSTITUTION: Obstacle detection sensors 3AW3D are linear pressure detection bodies employing pressure-sensitive rubber and arranged in two lines near the door frame of body 2 and on the circumferential end section of door 1. Detection signals from each sensor are provided to a control circuit 4 provided on the body 2 for detecting catching of obstacle from said signal and producing a control output signal to drive an alarm system 5. Consequently, catching of body or other material between the door and body can be prevented.
