Abstract:
To provide an occupant detection device which is capable of detecting a cabin occupant with a simple configuration and to provide a warning device comprising the occupant detection device.SOLUTION: An occupant detection device comprises a microphone 5 which is attached to a buckle 1 of a rear seat belt device and determines that there is an occupant who needs relief such as an infant in a rear seat when the microphone 5 picks up a biological originated sound other than a conversation sound, such as a sound of crying. When a time during which there is an occupant who needs relief in a rear seat becomes equal to or longer than a prescribed time while there is no occupant in a driver's seat, a warning operation is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
