Abstract:
To provide an ocean vessel evading faults of conventional technology, applying the vessel propulsion force in forward and backward directions, and high level of efficiency for steering in both directions.SOLUTION: This invention is regarding an ocean vessel 1 having a hull 10 provided with a bottom 11, a bow, a stern 13, and a propulsion device 2 including at least three propulsion units installed at the stern of the ocean vessel. The ocean vessel 1 includes a base line and a center line. The at least three propulsion units include: a fixed center line axis propulsion unit 21 having an axis line 22 and a propeller 23; and two propulsion units 30 capable of turning each having propellers 31 for steering of the ocean vessel and disposed on both sides of the fixed center line axis propulsion unit. In order to improve propulsion efficiency while maintaining the most appropriate steering ability, the propellers 23 of the fixed center line axis propulsion unit 21 is installed at a prescribed distance behind the stern 13 of the ocean vessel 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
