Title:
ODORANT SENSOR AND AIR CLEANER USING IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3692850
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an odorant sensor which is used in an air cleaning system or an odor analyzer, whose odor discrimination capability can be increased and which can be stabilized with reference to a characteristic change due to a change in an ambient environmental condition such as temperature or humidity.
SOLUTION: An infrared sensor 5 which can sort and detect a plurality of specific wavelengths and which has an infrared light source is combined with three kinds of metal oxide semiconductor sensors 1, 2, 3 which can discriminate and detect three systems of odor components which contain oxygen atoms, sulfur atons and nitrogen atoms. Therefore, it is possible to obtain this odorant sensor whose odor discrimination capability can be enhanced and whose stability is high with reference to a characteristic change due to a change in an ambient environment condition such as temperature or humidity.
