Abstract:

To overcome the problem of a prior art such that time is taken for convergence to an optimum value every time the number of delay waves by a multipath is increased and the estimation accuracy of a tap coefficient required for waveform equalization is also lowered in waveform equalization using a conventional adaptive equalizing filter when there are the delay waves of a delay time exceeding guard interval length in a receiving signal in an OFDM-signal receiving apparatus.

The adaptive equalizing filter (1) adaptively equalizing the waveform of a receiving OFDM signal is installed at a pre-stage from an FFT circuit (3). The tap coefficient of the adaptive equalizing filter (1) is controlled by the difference (13) signal of a signal obtained by IFFT-processing (8) an extracted (4) pilot signal at a post-stage from the FFT circuit (3), and a signal obtained by IFFT-processing (11) a transmission pilot signal previously stored (10) in the receiving apparatus.
