Abstract:
PURPOSE:To aim at making an off-road pneumatic bias tire for large size wheel loaders or the like lightweight and at preventing cord-burst, by disposing rubber sheets between layers of the innermost and outermost plies at predetermined positions, so that the inter-layer thicknesses of the rubber sheet disposed parts are set to be constant. CONSTITUTION:Rubber sheets 8 are disposed in bundles of outermost and innermost plies 2a, 2d and bundles 2b, 2c between the aforementioned ply bundles 2a, 2d so that the inter ply layer thicknesses of the sheet inserted parts are set to be within a range of 85-350% of the diameter (p) of carcass cords 6. Further, the bead side inner end of each rubber sheet 8 is located between an axial straight line A passing through a heightwise position distant from the bead heel 9 by 0.8H and a line B connecting between a heightwise position K distant from the bead heel 9 by 0.1H and a heightwise position L distant from the bead heel 9 by 0.3H, where H is the cross-sectional height of the tire, and the crown side end of the rubber sheet 8 is located between a straight line C passing through the shoulder M and orthogonal to the outermost ply 2a and an axial line D passing through a heightwise position distant from 1.2H from the bead heel 9. With this arrangement, it is possible to make the tire lightweight.
