This press is equipped with a surface plate 3, an article to be printed positioning the article 2 to be printed to place the same, a surface plate 5 for a printing plate positioning the printing plate 4 coated with ink so as to scrape off excessive ink and a blanket cylinder 6 transferring the ink remaining on the plate 4 to print the transferred ink on the article 2 to be printed. The surface plate 5 for the printing plate and the surface plate 3 for the article to be printed pass along the blanket cylinder 6 alternately.
