PURPOSE: To enable a printing effect corresponding to two conventional printing prsses to be obtained in a narrow machine installation space, by a construction wherein of five blanket cylinders, two pairs of adjacent blanket cylinders and the other one blanket cylinder can be selectively moved.

CONSTITUTION: Each of the blanket cylinders 11W15 can be selectively moved to the first position 11aW15 at which it makes contact with both an impression cylinder 1 and a plate cylinders 21W25 and the second position 11bW15b at which it makes contact with neither the impression cylinder 1 nor the plate cylinder 21W25. In addition, each of the blancket cylinders 11, 12, 13, 14 can be selectively moved to the third position 11cW14c at which the adjacent blanket cylinders 11, 12 make contact with each other and with the place cylinder and the adjacent blanket cylinders 13, 14 make contact with each other and with the plate cylinder. With this arrangement, printing on one side of a web, perfect printing, monocolor printing and multicolor printing can be performed on one or two webs.
