Abstract:
To provide adjuvant formulations for use in immunogenic compositions and vaccine compositions to enhance immune responses to antigens.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is an adjuvant formulation comprising oil and aqueous phases, where the oily phase corresponds to at least 50 v/v% of the formulation, the formulation comprises at least one of monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL-A) or an analog thereof and an immunostimulating oligonucleotide in the proviso that: a) when the immunostimulating oligonucleotide is not present, the formulation comprises: i. a poly I:C, a glycolipid, and, optionally, a quaternary amine; or ii. a polycationic carrier; and b) when the monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL-A) or the analog thereof is not present, the formulation comprises a source of aluminum.SELECTED DRAWING: None
