PURPOSE: To uniformly coat a steel panel with oil in a lateral direction and to prevent the dripping of oil from the end part of a coil by coating the steel panel with oil by providing an oil supply system uniformly dripping oil on the steel panel in lateral and longitudinal directions on this side of an oiling roll and a backup roll.
CONSTITUTION: Oil 3 for a rustproof purpose is uniformly dripped on a steel panel 2 in lateral and longitudinal directions from an oil supply system 1 arranged to the upper part on this side of the steel panel 2 passed through a line. At this time, the oil 3 dripped to the area out of the steel panel 2 to become unnecessary for coating is recovered in the oil supply system 1 by the oil pan 4 arranged under the oil supply system. The oil dripped on the steel panel 2 is uniformly applied to the whole in the lateral direction of the steel panel 2 by an oiling roll 5 and a backup roll 6 to form an oil film 7. By adjusting the dripping oil to the min. amt. necessary for forming the oil film 7, the generation of an unnecessary oil sump between both rolls 5, 6 is suppressed and the scattering of oil can be suppressed.
