To safely obtain at low cost an oil for cosmetic use having high storage stability in particular, high spreadability and favorable touch without impairing its practical characteristics, and to obtain cosmetics using the above oil which include, in particular, skin cleansing cosmetics, solid cosmetics, liquid cosmetics, gel-like cosmetics and creamy cosmetics.

This oil for cosmetic use is obtained by mixing a natural oil with glycerol followed by heating as necessary, and then carrying out a transesterification to effect the weight ratio: triglyceride/diglyceride/ monoglyceride of (30-55):(40-60):(1-20). The 2nd objective hardened oil is obtained by hardening the above oil. The other objective cosmetics are obtained using the above oil(s).
