PURPOSE: To provide an oil fence particularly with a self-sailing device and enable the fences to be laid by remote control for preventing ocean pollutants discharged by unexpected accidents in ships, harbor facilities, etc., from spreading.

CONSTITUTION: While a plurality of buoys 12 are mounted to an oil recovering hose 11, flexible fence plates 20 are mounted-respectively to the buoys 12. Self- sailing boats 1 operated through wire sailed by a motor are mounted on both ends of the oil recovering hose 11 and an oil fence is laid by the sailing of the self-sailing boats 1. At the same time, an oil recovering function is given to the self-sailing boat 1 so that the recovered oil can be recovered to a storage tank 31 on a main ship through the oil recovering hose 11. Further, an electromagnetic connector 15 is mounted to the tip of the self-sailing boat 1 while power feeder lines for the motors and electromagnetic connectors are inserted in the oil recovering hose 11.
