Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent working oil from being high-temperatured being stirred in the converter at nutral or low speed rotation time by providing the by-pass passage to the pressure regulating valve to supply working oil to the torque converter circuit at these times. CONSTITUTION:When pressure of oil in the oil passages 14, 15 which are connected to the forward and backward clutches goes up when the clutch is fastened, the pressure sensing valve 19 opens to supply prssure regulating working oil to the modulation valve 9 to highten the setting load of the valve 9. By this constitution, the clutch is smoothly fastened. Then, when the clutch is shut off and oil hydraulic pressure to the main pressure regulating vale 6 exceeds the setting pressure, the main pressure regulating valve 6 opens to supply pressurized oil to torque converter circuit 7. In this case, the by-pass passage 32 which passes by the main pressure regulating valve 6 is provided, and the orifice 33 to which minimum necessary pressurized oil is supplied in the low rotation range of the engine is inserted into the passage 32.
