To provide an oil level gauge device of an engine, by surely preventing disturbance of oil sticking to a gauge surface, when the gauge surface contacts with a wall surface of an oil return passage, and when the oil sticking to its wall surface sticks to the gauge surface, in a process of inserting and extracting a gauge body into and from its oil return passage, by using the oil return passage of the engine.
A gauge main part 25 of the gage body 21 has the gauge surface 30 having oil level reference marks 31 and 32, a tip side guide inclined part 33 capable of guiding the gauge main part 25 to the wall surface of the oil return passage when lowering the gauge main part 25, a base end side guide inclined part 34 capable of guiding the gauge main part 25 to the wall surface of the oil return passage when lifting the gauger main part 15, and a pair of guard wall parts 35 arranged in both end parts in the width direction of the gauge surface 30 and projecting to the gauge surface side in the plane orthogonal direction of the gauge surface 30.
