To provide an oil pump capable of inhibiting a drop of pump efficiency by inhibiting increase of leak quantity under a high temperature condition and increase of friction resistance under a low temperature condition.
A reversible oil pump 1 is provided with a cam ring 2, an outer and inner rotor 3, 4 in a pump housing 6, has a minute side clearance 11 between each side surface 6c, 6d opposing to a first and a second housing 6a, 6b forming the pump housing and both outside surfaces 3b, 3c and 4b, 4c of the outer and the inner rotors. The outer and the inner rotor are formed out of sintered alloy having higher linear expansion coefficient than that of the cam ring formed out of Invar material. Increase of leak quantity and increase of friction resistance are inhibited by changing size of the side clearance 11 by temperature change.
