Abstract:
To suppress infiltration of oil into an inorganic foam 1 through a defective part 4 of the foam even the inorganic foam 1 has a defective part 4 such as a hole or crack in a shell 2, the defective part 4 occurring when natural ore having a volatile component inside is fired to vaporize the volatile component and thereby foams.
Inorganic foam 1 having a defective part 4 formed in a shell 2 is coated with an oil-repellent coating agent for forming a coating 6 of 20 mN/m or less in critical surface tension on a surface of the shell 2.
