Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an additive having excellent dispersibility and suited for lubricating oils and fuels.
SOLUTION: There is provided an oil-soluble reaction product of (A) an acylating agent with (D) a polyalkenyl derivative of (C) an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid reagent, and (E) a polyamine containing at least two -NH2 and/or -NH groups, or with (F) a pre-formed product of the above reagent D and component E, wherein component A is a reaction product of a 4-20C polyene or an oligomer produced therefrom with (C) an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid reagent.
