To provide an oilproof sheetlike material that has low air permeation resistance, has excellent oilproof performance and is preferably usable as a packaging material for a food especially using edible oil.

The oilproof sheetlike material is obtained by producing a 1.5-20 g/m3 of coated layer comprising starch, alkylketene dimer and/or alkenylsuccinic anhydride, on at least one side of a base material. The oilproof property is improved by containing a crosslinking agent in the coated layer. A coated layer comprising alkylketene dimer and/or alkenylsuccinic anhydride as principal component or a coated layer comprising polyvinylalchol as principal component are preferably formed on the coated layer to form coated layers comprising at least two coated layers.
