Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an olefin polymer composition excellent in mechanical characteristics, heat resistance and moldability, comprising a crystalline olefin polymer prepared by using a new catalyst and having specific physical properties and a well-known olefin polymer.
SOLUTION: This olefin polymer composition comprises (A) 99-1 pt.wt. of an olefin polymer prepared by using a new catalyst containing a transition metal compound of formula I [M is a transition metal of the group 8 to the group 10; X1 and X2 are each N or P; R1 and R2 are each H or a hydrocarbon; (m) and (n) are each 1 or 2; R3 is a group of formula II or formula III (R6, R7, R71 and R72 are each H or a hydrocarbon), etc.; R4 and R5 are each H, a halogen, etc.] and having 0.5-20dl/g intrinsic viscosity [η], ≥60°C melting point Tm measured by a differential scanning calorimeter DSC and ≥0.88g/cm3 density and (B) 1-99 pts.wt. of an olefin polymer obtained by using a catalyst except the catalyst of formula I. An ethylene homopolymer is preferable as the component A. The catalyst for producing the component A is preferably formed by using the compound of formula I and an organoaluminumoxy compound as a cocatalyst component.
