Title:
OMNIDIRECTIONAL LOOP ANTENNA AND RECEIVER USING IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08293725
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a small-sized loop antenna which can be installed in an automobile to receive radio wave signals arriving from all directions with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: An omnidirectional antenna is composed of first and second loops 10a and 10b which stand upright at 90 deg. on a horizontal plane and intersect each other at right angles, a third loop 10c which is formed horizontally so that the loop 10c may intersect the loops 10a and 10b at right angles, and conductor lines 30a, 30b, and 30c which are respectively wound around the loops 10a, 10c, and 10c through recessed groove sections formed on the outer peripheral surfaces of the loops 10a, 10b, and 10c. A receiver is composed of the antenna, three impedance matching circuits 40 which are respectively composed of inductors and capacitors and adhered to the inner peripheral surfaces of the loops 10a, 10b, and 10c, a power synthesizer 60 which synthesizes the power of received signals, three coaxial cables 50 interposed between the three impedance matching circuits 40 and the synthesizer 60, and a low-noise broad-band amplifier 70 which amplifies the output signal of the synthesizer 60 by using the technology of a microstrip amplifier.
