PURPOSE: To obtain an one part composition wherein curing is inhibited in the absence of a molecular oxygen, an SiH-reactive hydroxylation compound and heat, by mixing an inhibitor, which decreases the activity of a platinum group metal-containing hydrosilation catalyst under specific conditions, with a composition which cures through hydrosilation.
CONSTITUTION: This composition containing the below mentioned components A-D is a storage-stable, one part curable composition which is stored substantially in the absence of oxygen and an SiH-reactive hydroxylated compound (A) A curable compound containing at least two ethylenically- or acetylenically unsaturated groups per molecule; (B) a hardener for compositions containing at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule in an amount sufficient for curing the composition in the presence of an active platinum group metal- containing hydrosilation catalyst; (C) a catalyst in an amount sufficient for promoting curing; and (D) an inhibitor in an amount sufficient for decreasing the catalyst activity at 25°C in the absence of oxygen and an SiH-reactive hydroxylated compound.
