Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a retinol derivative by one pot.
This method for producing a retinol derivative represented by general formula (3) [R2 is hydrogen atom or a protecting group of hydroxy group; wavy line is either one of E/Z geometrical isomerism or a mixture thereof] by one pot comprises reacting sulfones represented by general formula (1) [Ar is an aryl group which may be substituted] with a dihalodiene derivative represented by general formula (2) [X1 and X2 are the same or different and represent each a halogen atom: R1 is a protecting group of hydroxy group] in the presence of a base.
