Title:
ONE PROCESS CONTINUOUS BLEACHING OF FIBER WITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3215640
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the same whiteness and touch as those of a cloth bleached with chlorine gas and shorten a work process (one process continuous treatment) and a treating time under the consideration of practical production by using only hydrogen peroxide for the bleaching work without using the chlorine gas in order to solve problems in the aspects of installations and environments on conventional bleaching works using the chlorine gas.
SOLUTION: This method for continuously bleaching fibers with hydrogen peroxide comprises immersing the fibers in a hydrogen peroxide solution controlled to a pH of 9-11 and having a concentration of 80-200g/L (converted into a 35wt.% solution) for at least five min, subjecting the treated fibers to a dehydration treatment, and subsequently subjecting the dehydrated fibers to a steam treatment at a temperature of 80-120°C for 10-30min.
