To provide a packaging material for a rice ball which is easy to position a cover material approximately in the center of a storage portion between an outer film and an inner film and in which cover material is not biased vertically or horizontally when transported or packed at the time of shipment.SOLUTION: A sheet-like food 4 is stored in a storage portion 3 between an outer film 1 and an inner film 2. A cover material 5 is disposed between the sheet-like food 4 and the outer film 1 in the storage portion. The cover material 5 is such that an upper dividing portion 5b and a lower dividing portion 5c are continuously provided above and below a cover portion 5a of a rice ball R via upper and lower dividable lines 10 and 11. Left and right end portions 1a and 1b of the outer film 1 and left and right end portions 2a and 2b of the inner film 2 are bonded with each other. An upper end portion 5t of the cover material 5, an upper end portion 1c of the outer film 1 and an upper end portion 2c of the inner film 2 are bonded with each other. A lower end portion 5d of the cover material 5, a lower end portion 1d of the outer film 1, and a lower end portion 2d of the inner film 2 are bonded with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
