PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrance performing its opening and closing by identifying the individual body of a pet, and an inexpensive system by applying it. SOLUTION: This open and close-controlling system for the entrance of the pet is constituted with an individual body-identifying means attached to the pet such as an identifying tag capable of identifying individual pet, an individual body-detecting means installed at the entrance for the pet, an open and close-controlling means equipped with the individual body-detecting means and controlling the opening and closing of the entrance and the entrance the opening and closing of which is controlled by the open and close-controlling means. The system detects that the pet wearing the individual body-identifying means comes to a detectable zone at the outside of the entrance, identifies individual pet, and opens a door in the case that the opening is granted as a result of the identification or releases the lock of the door. Preferably, the open and close-controlling means is constituted by installing an entrance-locking mechanism for opening or closing the entrance constituted with a tubular passage by twisting it, a controlling part inputting an opening and closing drive signal to a driving part of the entrance-locking mechanism and an open and close-controlling signal-inputting means for inputting an open and close-controlling signal to the controlling part.
