Regarding the open head drum for a liquid hazardous material, a lid (8) being openable and closable includes: an lid body (28); and a lid rim (30) with a lid curl (16) around an outer circumference of the lid body. The lid rim has an abutment portion (38) making linear contact with a body (2) between the lid curl and the lid body when the lid rim is viewed cross-sectionally.
