Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb a shock when a sliding door is opened and control a free return after the door is opened.
SOLUTION: The device includes a cylinder 2 having a length approximately equal to the width of a sliding door D, a piston 3 to be inserted into the cylinder 2, and a piston rod 4 to be attached to the door D whose forward end is always urged to a closed position. A cover member 8 is attached to the forward end of a cylinder 2 on the moving side in a door opening direction of the piston rod 4 to keep the rod 4 airtight, and an one-direction control valve 10 is provided at the rear end on the opposite side of the cylinder 2 to control an exhaust. And the diameter of the middle portion of the cylinder 2 is made larger than that of the opposite end portions of the cylinder 2 and the piston 3 has a smaller diameter to correspond to that of the opposite end portions of the cylinder 2, allowing the piston 3 to freely move through the large diameter portion 7 of the cylinder. By providing the member 8 and the valve 10, at the start and at the end of the movement of the rod 4 in the opening and closing direction, excluding the start of movement in the door opening direction, the moving speed of the rod 4 can be cotrolled.
