Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an opening/closing mechanism which has a simple structure and also can reliably cover because a mechanism which attaches a pressing cover that presses an original which is placed on a mounting part from above to a side of the mounting part in an openable and closeable manner is conventionally complicated and expensive owing to a dual hinge feature, etc., in a machine platform which forms the mounting part to place the original of various kinds of thickness, like an image recorder which has an image reading part for a still original.
SOLUTION: A turning member 2 is united by a pivot between a supporting member 1 on the side of a machine platform which is fixedly attached to the machine platform A and a supporting member 3 on the side of a cover which is fixedly attached to a pressing cover C, and an energizing lever 4 which freely extends and contracts and around which a compression spring 5 winds is united by a pivot between the members 2 and 3 at a closer side to a mounting part B than to pivotal points P1 and P2. A cam 3a is formed to the member 3, front and base ends 4b and 4a of the pole 4 are made movable, and the base end 4a can be pressed at a cam 2 which is formed to the member 2.
