To provide an opening and closing type working device in which an opening and closing type working member such as a cram shell bucket or the like can be fixed without modifying a hydraulic shovel, it can be opened or closed by a hydraulic cylinder installed at the hydraulic shovel and provided in less-expensive manner.

A bracket 20 is removably fixed to an extremity end of an arm 7 or a boom 5 of a hydraulic shovel. An opening and closing type working element such as a cram shell bucket 26 or the like is suspended at a bracket 20 through a pin 25. The opening and closing type working member 26 stores an opening and closing operating member 28 movable along a frame 27 suspended from the bracket 20. There is provided a spring 31 for biasing the operating member 28 in its opening direction. A wire rope or the like connected to a rod extremity end such as a bucket cylinder 9 fixed to the arm 7 is wound around a sheave 40 fixed to the bracket 20 and connected to the operating member 28. The opening and closing type working member 26 is opened or closed under extention or refraction of the bucket cylinder 9 or the like.
