To provide an operating button device for an elevator having high durability, allowing easy mounting and preventing the rain and wind from intruding.

The operating button device for the elevator is equipped with: a face plate 1a installed on a hall wall surface and furnished with a button mounting hole 3; an operating button 2 which is mounted on the reverse surface of the face plate and whose operating surface 2a is positioned confronting the button mounting hole 3; a protrusive frame part 4 arranged on the obverse surface of the face plate 1a in such a way as surrounding the mounting hole 3; an operation part 5 provided on the inside of the protrusive frame part in such a way as covering the operating surface 2a of the button 2; and a resilient piece 6 installed between the frame part 4 and the operation part 5, and energizing the front side face of the operation part at all time so as to put it in tight attachment to the frame inner surface, whereby the operating surface 2a of the button 2 installed on the rear surface operated through the operation part 5 by pressing from the front face of the operation part.
