To prevent foreign matters such as dust and drinking water from remaining on a shielding member, in an operating device in which the shielding member is provided between an operating part and an actuating part.

In a case 3, an operating knob 4 (operating part) is provided on the front side, and a cover 5 (shielding member) is provided integrally with the case 3 so as to block the inside (actuating part) of the case 3 and a body 2 exposed form an opening 3a on the rear side. The front part of the cover 5 is positioned so as to overlap the rear of the operating knob 4, has a depression 5a the cross section of which takes the form of a circular arc, and has a plurality of holes 6 in this depression 5a. A hole part 13a is formed so as to face the holes 6 in a circuit board 13 positioned in the lower part of the operating knob 4 and the cover 5. Opening parts 2a, 2b each of which has the same shape as the hole part 13a are formed at positions facing the hole part 13a, in the upper and lower parts of the body 2.
