Abstract:

To use an arbitrary type of display, accomplish input operation without directly touching a case body supporting the display and moreover, realize an input operation by action of swinging an object.

This operation input device inputs an operation value to prescribe an image shown on a display 1 supported on a case body. This device has an operating member 2 which is operated by a player being separated from the case body and is provided with a light-emitting element 6 inside, a least two photodetecting sensors 3a-3f which are arranged different positions to output a signal by detecting the operating member 2 and a controller 4 which inputs output signals of the photodetecting sensors to determine the action of the operating member 2 by computation.
