Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform temperature control (temperature adjustment) of drain of steam used for power generation.SOLUTION: In an operation method of a binary power generation device 1, the binary power generation device 1 includes: an evaporator for evaporating a working medium with steam being a heat source; an expander for generating a rotational driving force by expanding the gaseous working medium evaporated in the evaporator; a condenser for condensing the gaseous working medium expanded in the expander into a liquid; and a circulation pump for circulating the working medium from the condenser toward the evaporator. Drain discharge means for discharging drain after heat exchange is performed in the evaporator, and a drain cooling heat exchanger for cooling the drain discharged by the drain discharge means are provided. The working medium before heat exchange is performed in the evaporator is introduced in the drain cooling heat exchanger, and the drain is cooled.
