Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure the operation touch including backlash and inclination by allowing the movable part of an electromagnetic drive member to contact the operation part of an operation member and then obtaining the relationship between the position of the operation part and force according to the relation between the position of a movable part and force.
CONSTITUTION: Electromagnetic drive parts 1a-1c are laid out at an equal spacing around a movable part 12 and are rotated around Z axis or electromagnetic drive parts 2d-1f are laid out for driving in Z-axis direction of the movable part 12 or that around X and Y axes crossing it. Further, six position sensors 3 are provided to measure the position and the rotary angle in the directions of X, Y, and Z axes. Drive parts 1a-1f are subjected to feedback control based on the output of each position sensor 3, thus controlling the attitude of the movable part 12. Thus, a measuring device 1 obtains stroke from the output of the sensors 3 and each drive force from the value of current flowing to the drive parts 1a-1f to calculated the counterforce and moment in the directions of X, Y, and Z axes. Therefore, by selecting the drive direction of the movable part 12, operation touch including backlash and inclination can be measured.
