To provide an operational method of two-color image forming device capable of forming a uniform intermediate potential part on a surface of a photoreceptor and ensuring stable print quality.
A photoreceptor halting process to keep its drive halted for the period until a mirror motor constituting an exposure means gets to a predetermined revolution speed, an electrification process to start driving the above- mentioned photoreceptor for uniformly electrifying the above-mentioned photoreceptor after the above-mentioned mirror motor reaches the predetermined speed, and an intermediate potential forming process to slightly and uniformly expose the surface of the electrified photoreceptor by means of the above- mentioned exposure means and form an intermediate potential part making a background at the time of forming an image are executed prior to shifting to a two-color image-forming process.
