PURPOSE: To efficiently perform the alignment of an eye to be inspected with a measuring means with respect to an ophthalmological device.

CONSTITUTION: The face of an examinee including the external eye part of the eye 7 to be inspected is illuminated with infrared rays from an infrared light source 18 for external eye part illumination, and the image of the face of the examinee including the external eye part of the eye 7 to be inspected is made incident on a variable power optical system 16 via a dichroic mirror 6, a cold mirror 13, a mirror 14 and a relay lens 15. The variable power optical system 16 is set as a low magnification system 25 for the present, and supplies the image of the face of the examinee to an image pickup device 17, and the image pickup device 17 picks up the image of the face of the examinee. A mark to fit the center of the eye 7 to be inspected is superimposed on an image pickup result by a superimpose circuit 22, and the image pickup result on which the mark is superimposed is displayed on a monitor 12. The variable power optical system 16 is switched to a high magnification system after fitting the mark in the eye 7 to be inspected by a motor 28 and a timing belt 27. The eye 7 to be inspected is image-picked up with the image pickup device 17, and displayed on the monitor 12, therefore, the mark is fitted in the center of the eye 7 to be inspected.
