Abstract:
To provide an optical amplifier which easily realizes a cyclic gain structure of a gain medium and obtains a high gain.
The optical amplifier amplifies a light signal with the gain medium having a cyclic gain structure; and the gain medium is formed in a waveguide shape and operated by irradiating with interference fringes of the stimulating light to express the cyclic gain structure.
